For a while now we have been in contact with MedTech Outreach Australia, an organisation based in Australia that is involved in telemedicine with developing countries. They are the developers of the Medgnosis Telemedicine platform - a web based application similar to iPath. This week, Fred Hersch who is the main developer of Medgnosis has visited us in Basel and we decided to join forces and start developing a common telemedicine platform based on iPath-2.
The current iPath is now frozen as version 2.0 and will stay as it is while we start developing a new version (2.1) which will include a major face lift and some changes in the backend as well as new modules which will bring the best of Medgnosis and iPath together. For the curious - we will contimuously update the test server iPathX to the latest development version.
